1. Who this notice is from

This Privacy Policy is issued by Dr. Alexia Kwan, a dental surgeon registered with the Singapore Dental Council (SDC No. [TBC]), who practises at Align Dental Surgery, #01-07/08/09 Forum The Shopping Mall, 583 Orchard Road, Singapore 238884 ("Dr. Alexia", "the practice", "we", "us").

For the purposes of the Singapore Personal Data Protection Act 2012 ("PDPA"), Dr. Alexia Kwan is the organisation responsible for personal data collected through this website. Clinical records generated during appointments at Align Dental Surgery are held by the clinic under its own notices.

2. What personal data is collected

The website at dralexiakwan.com does not host forms, payment flows, or account registration. The personal data that may be collected falls into these narrow categories:

• Contact data shared by you through phone or WhatsApp. When you call +65 6773 7088 or message +65 8877 0788 to ask a question or request an appointment, your phone number, WhatsApp display name, and anything you choose to share in that conversation are received by Align Dental Surgery's front-of-house team.
• Technical data via standard hosting logs. IP address, browser type, device type, referring URL, and pages viewed, retained by the hosting provider for the purpose of running the site reliably and investigating abuse.
• Font-delivery logs. The site loads typefaces from Google Fonts, which logs the visitor IP to deliver the font. No cookies are set on the serving domain for font delivery.

The site does not collect health information. Any health or clinical information you share in the course of booking or treatment is handled by Align Dental Surgery under its clinical records policy.

3. How personal data is used

The information described above is used only for these purposes:

• To respond to enquiries and arrange appointments with Dr. Alexia at Align Dental Surgery.
• To operate the website reliably, investigate technical issues, and protect against abusive or automated access.
• To comply with legal obligations and to defend or establish legal claims where necessary.

Your data is not used for marketing automation, cross-site advertising, or profile-based targeting.

4. Who personal data is shared with

• Align Dental Surgery receives your enquiry if you phone or WhatsApp the clinic. Appointment and clinical records from that point are governed by the clinic.
• The website hosting provider processes hosting logs on our behalf to serve the site.
• Google Fonts receives an IP address when your browser requests a typeface.
• Competent authorities may receive data where disclosure is required by law.

Personal data is not sold to anyone. Advertising networks do not receive data from this site.

5. International transfers

The website hosting provider and Google Fonts may process data outside Singapore, including in the United States and the European Union. Where data is transferred to a country whose privacy protections are not comparable to those in Singapore, we rely on contractual and operational measures that secure a standard of protection comparable to the PDPA.

6. How long personal data is kept

• Phone and WhatsApp enquiries that do not lead to an appointment are retained for up to 24 months by the clinic and then deleted or anonymised.
• Clinical records created once you become a patient of Align Dental Surgery are retained by the clinic in accordance with the Singapore Dental Council's record-keeping obligations.
• Website hosting logs are retained by the hosting provider for a short window, typically up to 90 days, sufficient to diagnose incidents.

7. Your PDPA rights

Under the PDPA you have the following rights in relation to your personal data:

• Right of access: ask for confirmation of what personal data is held about you and a copy.
• Right of correction: ask for inaccurate or incomplete data to be corrected.
• Right to withdraw consent: withdraw consent for any purpose that relies on it at any time.
• Right to lodge a complaint: with the Personal Data Protection Commission of Singapore (pdpc.gov.sg) if you are not satisfied with the response.

To exercise any of these rights, contact Dr. Alexia using the details in section 11. Requests are acknowledged and answered within 30 days where reasonably practicable.

8. How personal data is protected

Reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards are maintained for data held on behalf of Dr. Alexia, proportionate to the limited scope of data this website processes. Clinical records held by Align Dental Surgery are covered by the clinic's own clinical information security measures. No system is perfectly secure. Where a personal data breach is likely to result in significant harm, you and the regulator will be notified in line with the PDPA.

9. Children's data

The website is intended for adults making enquiries on their own behalf or on behalf of a family member in their care. Personal data is not knowingly collected from anyone under 16 through this site. If you believe a child has provided data through this site, please contact Dr. Alexia so it can be removed.

10. Changes to this policy

This Privacy Policy may be updated from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top will reflect the most recent revision. Material changes will be highlighted on this page for a reasonable period.
